Description:
The Remote Switch(RPM) was designed to monitor (current , voltage and the switch status) , actuate on & off a power switch which is connected to an equipment , from the remote site via internet. The RPM is often operated together with -48V SMR power supply in telecom IDC. The bulky -48V output of SMR goes to input port of the RPM and the RPM output port splits into 8 switched output paths. Each path is independently controlled and monitored by remote side command and fed to individual telecom equipment. Therefore the switch status, the open switch voltage and the current thru the switch-on path as same as the equipment current can now be monitored and reported to the administrator thru LAN(local area network).
